Missing her.....

As I sit in her home, missing her, wondering how and why this happened.  This the question that I can't answer.  I look at her chair and remember her smile, the talks we had, and the laughs we shared.  This all seems to be a  horrible dream, that I can't wake up from. 

It feels like a cruel joke.  To love someone and have them gone in an instant, seems insane.  She was so happy and a inspiration to be around.  I'm angry she is no longer with us.  Why do some live and some die.  What is criteria for death.  Do you have to be nice, caring, and have many who will miss you? 

Well I will miss her, daily and wish she was here.  I know she is in a better place, with her husband, whom she loved.  I hope they have met my parents in heaven and are now watching over us together.  I hope we make them proud.

Ceramics a new hobby?????

Summer 2011, I participated in a ceramics class.  I thought I was going to learn how to build things, but it was just a Paint ceramics class.....So here is a glimpse into my summer 2011....

In the, I took a ceramics course.  I'm trying all the things I didn't, while in college, well at least some :)  I really enjoyed the class, it was a lot of hard work, but fun none the least.  Below is some of my pieces....

Painting.....

Where I work, there is a painting class down the hall, and I'm so jealous, I have always wanted to paint. In the Spring 2011, I registered for the course.  So below are some of  my artwork from the course.

I have tried to put them in the steps, as they were created.

Our first was still life in monochromatic colors......

Then we were had to try and learn dimension...















                        



Next we had to do a collage.  We searched through magazines and found pictures we liked, cut out parts of them and made a collage.  That would be our painting.

The final painting was to be surrealist.  My favorite hobby now is our 135 gallon aquarium. So I found a beautiful landscape and a cool ocean picture, used photoshop to mesh together and this was the end result.

 

Introduction......

I'm not really good at blogging or journaling, but I need an outlet or a place to put my thoughts....So here it goes.

I'm a 34 year old Librarian, who has the best boyfriend and 2 beautiful doggies....I Love my life now!

I have worked really hard to get where I am and now I can finally enjoy the fruits of my labor. (silly saying) What I mean that I have  worked really hard, I have my Bachelors in Education (certified to teack k-8), Master's in Curriculm and Instruction, and a Master's in Library and Information Science.

Now that I actually have time to do things for myself, I wanted to start doing some hobbies. So this Blog will be about all the things that I create, want to create and general musings of a busy librarian......
